The International Sand Art Festival shall be held at Chandrabhaga beach, Konark, Puri, Odisha, India from 1st –5th December every year coinciding with famous Konark Festival. The sand art festival organized at Chandrabhaga Beach which is about 1 KM from the Konark sun temple. Many sand artists from India and from other many countries are participating in this competition.

The creator of best sand art will win a prize of Rs 100,000 money. As many as 30 Indian and 10 foreign artists are expected to participate in the International Sand Art Festival organized in Odisha.
Famous Odia sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik is taken as the brand ambassador of the International Sand Art Festival, event organized in Odisha.

History of Odisha Sand Art Festival:

Odisha Sand Art Festival is celebrated all over the world including India, Australia, Canada, Germany, USA, Uk and many more countries. Sudarshan Patnaik started Golden Sand Art Institute in 1995 by the support of his friends. It is an open-air institute and located near to Hotel May Fair Lagoon at Puri. This festival sand sculpture is produced by sand artists and exhibited the artist who produced the best art; he or she was awarded a prize.
